Industrifonden
Industrifonden, established in 1979, is a Swedish venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in technology and life science companies with international potential. It invests in sectors such as internet and media, information technology, life sciences, and industrial growth, with a particular interest in deep tech, AI, and disruptive technologies. The firm typically invests between SEK 5 million to SEK 100 million per company, seeking ownership interests of between 15 to 50 percent. Industrifonden provides financing through equity capital and various types of loans and guarantees, often co-investing with other regional venture capital firms. It actively supports its portfolio companies, typically taking a board seat and working long-term with entrepreneurs. The firm exits its investments usually within five to ten years through sales to industry players or initial public offerings. Notable Industrifonden-backed companies include Qlik, Arcam, and CellaVision.
