Kik is a mobile messaging application founded in 2009 by a group of University of Waterloo students, based in Waterloo, Ontario. Kik is backed by significant venture capital investments and has a strategic partnership with Tencent, the creator of WeChat.

Rounds was founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Dany Fishel, Ilan Leibovich and Dimitry Shestek in February 2008. Fishel is Rounds' CEO and Ilan Leibovich is the company COO.The company is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
