Los Angeles County Employees' Retirement Association
Los Angeles County Employees' Retirement Association is the public pension system serving Los Angeles County and selected districts, established in 1938 and based in Pasadena, California. It administers and pays retirement, disability, and death benefits to eligible county employees, retirees, and beneficiaries, and handles the collection, deposits, and investment of retirement funds on behalf of the county and participating outside agencies. The association is the largest county retirement system in the United States, governed by a Board of Retirement with an executive team responsible for operations, retiree healthcare, disability retirement processing, and the management of assets through professional investment strategies.
