Mendoza Ventures is a Boston-based venture capital firm founded in 2016 by Adrian and Senofer Mendoza, who are experienced entrepreneurs and operators in the startup ecosystem. The firm specializes in early-stage and growth investments in sectors such as fintech, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. A key aspect of Mendoza Ventures' investment strategy is its commitment to diversity, with approximately 80% of its portfolio comprising startups led by immigrants, people of color, and women. Initially launched as a pilot fund, Mendoza Ventures formally established its second fund in 2019, following a successful exit and recognition of its traction with early-stage startups. The firm has since made twelve investments and expanded its team by bringing in senior managers and domain experts from prominent companies.
