A quick drive through our 560-acre campus illustrates our momentum in enhancing our academic and student life facilities. We opened the $40 million Natalie L. Haslam Music Center, home of the university’s School of Music, the $23.2 million John D. Tickle Engineering Building, which houses the departments of civil and environmental engineering and industrial and systems engineering, and the Fred D. Brown Residence Hall. Work also continues on the new student union, the largest single project in the university’s history.
Thirteen new sorority houses, adjacent to campus, are part of the Sorority Village development on Morgan Hill.
Our campus master plan guides our vision, which includes a more pedestrian-friendly campus with more green space and the addition of significant classroom and laboratory space in the next decade.
Our undergraduate and graduate students have unprecedented opportunities for hands-on work and research through our partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
The Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research provides opportunities for graduate students in energy-related science and engineering and puts the university front and center in training the country’s scientists to take on the world’s most challenging energy problems. The partnerships enhance the state’s role as a growing hub for research in critical challenges that include alternative energy, national security, and the creation of new materials. The new UT Humanities Center is broadening research opportunities in the disciplines through a fellows program modeled after the National Humanities Center.

EYSZ is a digital health software company based in Piedmont, California, founded in 2018. It specializes in detection algorithms that utilize oculometric and facial biometric data to reliably detect seizures and assist in the diagnosis and management of brain disorders, including epilepsy, ADHD, and depression. By employing machine learning techniques, EYSZ's software not only detects seizures but also predicts their occurrence. The platform is designed to interface and integrate with various eye-tracking systems, such as smart glasses, and therapeutic devices like neuromodulation tools, thereby enhancing the ability of clinicians to monitor and manage the neurological health of their patients effectively.
Founded in 2017, Nexilico is an early-stage biotechnology company based in Albany, California. It specializes in advancing microbiome and precision medicine research through the development of predictive computational platforms. These platforms aim to enhance drug design, development, and clinical outcomes for various therapeutics.
Dreami empowers Nonprofits, Higher Education institutions, and Governments by providing scalable software for career development programs. Its platform automates and tracks mentorship, internship, and coaching programs, enabling organizations to customize experiences at scale while saving time and improving outcomes.
University Corporation for Atmospheric Research

University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is a consortium focused on research and training in the atmospheric and related Earth system sciences. It consists of over 100 member colleges and universities that set directions and priorities for the National Center for Atmospheric Research, which UCAR manages with sponsorship by the National Science Foundation. Through their community programs, UCAR provides additional innovative services in support of the consortium's education and research goals.

Western Kentucky University, off of College Heights Blvd in Bowling Green, has over 170 amazing undergraduate and 50 graduate school fields of study to choose from.
Some of the many interesting offerings at WKU include advertising, dental hygiene, early childhood education, economics, graphic design, health care administration, nursing, paralegal studies, performing arts, women’s studies, zoology, and more.
For the quintessential college experience, look no further than the amazing campus facilities and events of WKU. The Hilltoppers’ football team was recently promoted to Division 1-A, allowing them to compete for national bowls and titles.
Western Kentucky University also has international appeal with study-abroad programs and the Chinese Flagship program, which integrates the learning of the Chinese language into a student’s education for those interested in international careers.
Financial aid is available to eligible students at WKU the form of grants, student employment, loans, veterans’ benefits, tuition waivers, and scholarships. The school itself offers academic scholarships, alumni grants, departmental scholarships and Kentucky state assistance.
Job fairs and employment preparation seminars aren’t the only career services you can expect from the career center. Employers often post job leads on the website board, exclusive to WKU students. Internships are also available to students looking to gain work experience in their fields of choice.
