Power Finance
Power Finance provides financial products and related advisory, and other services to the power sector in India. It offers fund based financial policies/products, including asset acquisition; bridge, corporate, short term, and rupee and foreign currency term loans; short term loan for SPV; buyer’s line of credit; and credit facility for purchase of power. Power Finance's fund based financial policies/products also include debt refinancing; energy saving projects; fuel supply projects and equipment manufacturers financing; grants/interest free loans for studies/consultancies; lease financing for wind power projects and purchase of equipment; line of credit for import of coal; takeout financing; and solar PV policy to private sector. Its non-fund based products comprise guarantee, guarantee for credit enhancement, and letter of comfort. Power Finance also provides consultancy services in the areas of procurement of power by distribution licensees; renewable and non-conventional energy schemes; selection of developers for coal blocks; selection of EPC contractors; reform, restructuring, and regulatory aspects; capacity building and human resource development; and execution of ultra-mega power projects, and independent transmission projects. It serves state electricity boards, state power utilities, central power sector utilities, power departments, equipment manufacturers, private power sector utilities, joint sector power utilities, and other state departments engaged in the development of power projects. Power Finance began operation in 1986. It has its headquarters in New Delhi in India.
