Shurgard Self-Storage is a provider of self-storage solutions for both private and commercial clients, offering extra space in mini-warehouses for excess belongings and documents. Founded in 1970 in Washington State, the company has expanded significantly since its inception, now operating 189 facilities across seven European countries, including Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Shurgard opened its first European store in Brussels in 1995 and its first UK store in Croydon in 1999. In total, Shurgard serves over one million customers globally. The company has established a partnership with Public Storage, the largest owner and operator of self-storage facilities in the world, further enhancing its service offerings and reach.
