TOBA Inc. entered food distribution in 1995 with the purchase of The Thompson Company in Grand Island, Nebraska, and expanded with the 2002 acquisition of Braunger Foods located in Sioux City, Iowa, and Variety Foods in 2007, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With more than $130 million in combined annual sales, the three companies serve independent restaurant, school, grocery and convenience store customers in seven states across the Midwest.

F. Christiana, a broadline distributor of food and food-related products concentrating on the important center-of-the-plate categories as well as dairy and dry goods. F. Christiana has nearly $100 million in annual sales and serves more than 1,800 independent restaurant, hotel, and independent deli/convenience store customers throughout Louisiana, southern Mississippi and parts of southern Alabama.

All American Foods, a broadline distributor based in North Kingstown, R.I., with annual sales of nearly $60 million. All American Foods was established in 1988 and has grown to offer more than 4,000 SKUs to nearly 1,000 customers throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The addition of All American Foods will further enhance US Food’s ability to serve customers in the northeast region, an area of the country heavily populated with independent restaurants.

Established in 1988, Freshway Foods is owned by brothers Phil and Frank Gilardi and is based in Sidney, Ohio. The company has built a strong reputation for providing value-added fresh cut produce that includes the cutting, cleaning, chopping and packaging of raw produce resulting in a product that can be customized to meet any customer's preferences and delivered ready for immediate use. In addition, Freshway Foods has established a robust farm-to-fork food safety approach that ensures food safety compliance from the grower through consumption.

The Hawkeye distribution center in Iowa City, Iowa, will serve as US Foods’ first distribution center in the state.

Founded in 1884, New City Packing Company serves more than 400 customers and operates a 60,000 square foot distribution warehouse and meat cutting facility in Aurora, Ill.
