One man got a handful of customers who were willing to use the new program, even though it was still under development. The project took off speed, for Carsten Rasmussen sensed that the craftsmen were in need of an hourly management system.

SSI Diagnostica was previously an independent business unit under Statens Serum Institut (SSI) in Denmark, a public enterprise under the Danish Ministry of Health. Since 1998, it has developed, produced and sold in vitro diagnostica for clinical microbiology, veterinary diagnostics, food, environmental and hygiene control to the home market as well as abroad. Its products are sold worldwide and encompass antisera and culture media from its own production plant in Hillerød, Denmark, as well as blood products from its own farm.
