Amerigo Resources Ltd. is a mining company based in Vancouver, Canada, primarily engaged in the production of copper and molybdenum concentrates through its subsidiary, Minera Valle Central S.A. The company operates in partnership with Codelco’s El Teniente Division, utilizing a contractual agreement to process both fresh and historic tailings from the El Teniente mine, which is recognized as the largest underground copper mine globally. Amerigo's operations include treating fresh tailings from ongoing production and higher-grade historic tailings from the nearby Colihues deposit. The company aims to enhance its production capabilities, with targets set to achieve an annual output of 90 million pounds of copper and 2.5 million pounds of molybdenum. Amerigo has secured rights to process the Cauquenes tailings deposit, extending its operational timeline for fresh tailings processing until 2037.
