Brainstorm Ventures was founded in 1999 with a mission to fund emerging technology companies and actively assist them in their development. Past portfolio companies include OpenTable (IPO), Zappos (acquired by Amazon), Me.com (acquired by Apple) and Mexico's first unicorn, KIO Networks. Brainstorm began actively investing from its second seed and early stage venture capital fund in 2018. Most of Brainstorm's investments are in Silicon Valley and in Mexico; however, Brainstorm Ventures also targets a select number of opportunities across the United States and Latin America.
