Sophia Business Angels

Sophia Business Angels is an angel investment network established in 2003 and based in Sophia Antipolis, France. Comprising over 50 members from 15 countries, the group consists of experienced entrepreneurs and senior managers who meet monthly to identify and fund promising start-up projects across various sectors, including finance technology, information and communications technology, energy, and lifestyle. The members leverage their combined expertise to provide not only financial support but also mentorship and coaching to emerging businesses. Their collaborative efforts have garnered recognition, including a national grant for Business Angels in France. Additionally, the group has established two investment vehicles, Innovation Europe and Croissance Europe, to enhance private investing across the continent. Sophia Business Angels has also played a significant role in hosting investment forums and events that showcase innovative projects in MedTech, CleanTech, Hi-Tech, and Space sectors.
