Rive Technology

Acquisition in 2019
Rive is a clean energy company, commercializing advanced catalyst technology for petroleum refining to dramatically increase the yield of transportation fuels produced per barrel of crude oil. The proprietary technology, invented at MIT, makes traditional zeolite catalysts more accessible to large hydrocarbon molecules, allowing increased production of gasoline and diesel fuel. Rive's new catalyst will fit readily into existing refineries and enable refiners to increase throughput and profitability with minimal capital investment.

De Neef Conchem Group manufactures and markets construction chemicals.
Meilixin has manufacturing facilities for the production of customizable, fit-for-use waterproofing membranes, materials and compounds, as well as administrative offices and warehousing operations in Wuhan, the modern capital of the Hubei province located in Central China. There are around 50 employees at the facilities. Meilixin's products include multilayer macromolecule compound membranes, self-adhesive rubber membranes, cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing materials and macromolecule compound coatings. The products help protect structures from the damaging effects of water. In addition to being sold in China, the products have been exported to Southeast Asia, America, Europe and other regions of the world.

Synthetech

Synthetech, Inc. is a fine chemicals company specializing in organic synthesis, biocatalysis and chiral technologies. Synthetech develops and manufactures amino acid derivatives, specialty amino acids, peptide fragments and proprietary custom chiral intermediates primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. Synthetech produces advanced pharmaceutical intermediates in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and in compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations. Synthetech's products support the development and manufacture of therapeutic peptides and peptidomimetic (peptide-like) small molecule drugs from early stages of a customer's clinical development through market launch and into commercial production. Synthetech's products also support the production of chemically-based medical devices. Synthetech's domestic and international customer base includes major and mid-size pharmaceutical, contract drug synthesis, emerging and established biotechnology and medical device companies. Synthetech also supplies catalog quantities of specialty amino acids to research institutions, universities and drug discovery firms.

Flexit is a privately held company that manufactures columns and accessories for HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) and SPE (solid phase extraction), tools used by life science and analytical companies for drug discovery and production. Flexit will be integrated into the Discovery Sciences business of Grace's Davison Chemicals segment.

Alltech International Holdings

Acquisition in 2004
Alltech is a privately held company with manufacturing facilities and R&D laboratories in the United States, England and Belgium and has an extensive sales, marketing and distribution organization with 21 locations worldwide, including China, Australia, England, Germany, and the United States. Its products are used in high performance liquid, gas, and ion chromatography, as well as solid phase extraction technologies, for drug discovery and production.

GROM Analytik + HPLC

Acquisition in 2004
Grom is a privately-held specialty chromatography business based in Germany. The company manufactures columns and provides packing and applications services for analytical and preparative chromatography. Grace, a global leader in silica material technology, has been building its separations business through a strategy of internal growth and acquisitions. The company currently manufactures VYDAC® columns and media for analytical, preparative, and process applications and DAVISIL® chromatographic media. The company recently introduced the DENALITM line of columns and media for smallmolecule separations. Recent acquisitions include MODcol Corporation, experts in preparative column packing technology, and the Jones Chromatography HPLC line.

Schurpack

Schurpack is a supplier of plastic laminate packaging materials for the institutional and retail cook-in market segment. Cook-in foods are specially packaged meats and entrees that minimize preparation time for food service operations and supermarkets while increasing shelf life and delivering the highest product yield during the cooking process.
