Stauning Whiskey is a Danish whiskey distillery. Our distillery is located on the west coast of Jutland near the town of Stauning. And the location is shame not random! When the whole adventure began, the basic idea was that we basically should do everything ourselves and like the Scottish tradition. We would make a smoked whiskey in the best Islay style. Outside where the wind is fresh and it really smells of sea and peat. Much has changed since those days. But the desire to keep all the processes in the house still stands.
