LATAM Brasil, part of LATAM Airlines Group S.A., provides extensive air transportation services, including passenger and cargo transport across Brazil and internationally. As of the end of 2019, LATAM Airlines Group S.A. maintained a fleet of 331 aircraft, comprising 320 passenger and 11 cargo planes, and engaged in loyalty programs to enhance customer retention. The company emerged from the merger of LAN Airlines and TAM S.A., creating one of the largest airline groups globally. LATAM Airlines Group S.A. was founded in 1929 and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile. In May 2020, the company filed for voluntary reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, reflecting challenges faced in the aviation industry.
