HCAP Partners is a San Diego–based private equity firm that provides growth capital to lower middle market companies in California and the western United States. Founded in 2000 and formerly known as Huntington Capital, the firm targets equity and debt investments in companies with revenues typically between 10 million and 100 million and minimum EBITDA of around 1 million. It invests in industries including services, manufacturing, homeland security, aerospace and defense, business services, consumer products, health care, and information technology/software. Investment sizes generally range from 2 million to 25 million, and structures include debt, equity, or combinations, often with warrants or royalties.
