Khan Academy

Khan Academy Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 2006 and based in Mountain View, California. Its mission is to provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere, through an extensive online platform that includes video lessons, practice exercises, and assessments. The learning system is mastery-based, allowing students to progress at their own pace after mastering essential concepts. The platform covers a wide range of K–12 subjects and offers resources such as personalized SAT practice in partnership with the College Board, MAP Accelerator with NWEA, and official preparatory materials for Praxis Core and LSAT exams. Khan Academy serves over 18 million learners monthly across 190 countries and in more than 40 languages, and it is utilized by over 200,000 educators who access its free teaching tools. The organization is funded through donations from foundations, corporations, and individuals, as well as through earned revenue.
