It seeks to make private equity investments between $30 million and $500 million; venture capital investments between $5 million and $30 million; and mezzanine debt financing of up to $125 million in conjunction with equity investment. In India, it seeks to invest $10 million to $100 million per company. The firm typically invests between $5 million and in excess of $500 million per company in combination of equity, subordinated debt, and senior debt financing. It prefers to be a lead or sole investor and can take a minority ownership position or controlling majority stake in its investee companies. The firm seeks to take a board seat and prefers to be a first institutional investor in its portfolio companies.
