First Gen

First Gen Corporation is an independent power generation company based in Pasig City, Philippines, focusing on developing and operating various energy projects. As of December 31, 2019, the company had an installed capacity of 3,492 megawatts, primarily utilizing natural gas and geothermal sources. Its operations are divided into six segments: FGPC, which operates the 1,000 MW Santa Rita natural gas plant; FGP, which manages the 500 MW San Lorenzo plant; FNPC, which oversees the 420 MW San Gabriel plant; Prime Meridian, responsible for the 97 MW Avion plant; and FG Hydro, which operates the 132 MW Pantabangan-Masiway hydroelectric facility. Additionally, the EDC and Subsidiaries segment develops geothermal resources and includes the 150 MW Burgos Wind and 6.82 MW Burgos Solar plants. First Gen serves a diverse range of clients, including electric cooperatives and industrial users, and has a partnership with Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for future energy projects. Founded in 1998, First Gen Corporation is a subsidiary of First Philippine Holdings Corporation.
