Gar Foundation is an independent non-profit foundation based in Akron, Ohio. Established in 1967, the mission of the foundation is to strengthen communities through the discerning and creative support of worthy organizations. It provides grants for education, arts and arts education, health and social services, civic enhancement, and nonprofit enhancement. The assets of the foundation are managed by the executive management team.

Stark State College of Technology, located in Stark County, Ohio, is a comprehensive community college. Academically diverse, Stark State offers over 230 majors, one-year certificates and career enhancement certificates. This school has an open enrollment academic policy, which means that anyone who wants a college education has a right to pursue one. Open enrollment students do not have to take placement tests for admissions. Stark State is renowned for its low tuition prices, and is credited with being one of the most affordable colleges in the area. This school is perfect for students who plan on obtaining a bachelor’s degree, but do not want to pay a university rate for all four years. For those who need additional help with tuition, Stark State offers financial aid through federal and state programs in addition to foundation grants and work programs. Furthermore, this school has approximately 50 scholarships available based on academic achievement, areas of study, and financial need. The admissions process for Stark State is very straightforward. Students need to submit an application and their high school transcript or GED certificate, fill out a FAFSA if they are interested in receiving financial aid, take the COMPASS placement assessment test and meet with an admissions counselor. There is not an admissions fee for this school, and students who have taken the ACT test within two years of applying can submit their scores in order to bypass the placement test.
Rubber City Theatre

They use our "Free Theatre Project" to stage Shakespeare and other plays that are open to the public.
