The firm primarily focuses on consumer products that includes food, flavorings, ingredients, health and beauty, transportation, durable and non-durable goods; e-commerce and online marketing that includes social media, online retail, search, online advertising, email marketing, online communities, online transaction processing, online couponing, or mobile-related applications; media and publishing; and information technology systems and services that includes information technology infrastructure, security, cloud computing, RFID/Nearfield technology, specialized business process, automation and outsourcing, parallel computing, or mobile-related infrastructure. It also prefers to invest in consumer product lines that are part of larger corporations who no longer view them as strategic fits, in specialized e-commerce and online marketing services and IT software, IT services, and IT infrastructure. The firm also invests in other financial products such as sponsored hedge funds. The firm seeks to take board representation on its investment companies.
