Attavik A/S is an innovative technology company originating from Greenland and currently based in Denmark, focused on addressing mobile phone and internet connectivity challenges in rural areas with limited or no coverage. The company's solution leverages a patented technology that facilitates affordable mobile and internet connections through an Adhoc peer-to-peer mesh network. This network allows personal devices to communicate over distances of up to 8 kilometers using Super Wi-Fi technology. Attavik's platform enables users to send text messages, make voice calls, and share data and video, all without relying on centralized servers or traditional telecommunications infrastructure. By providing an effective alternative to conventional service providers, Attavik aims to enhance connectivity for users in underserved regions.

ColdZymes

Coldzymes develops enzymes from microorganisms isolated from cold environments from all over the World, e.g. from Greenland, Alaska, Svalbard, Antarctica. Cold-active enzymes from Coldzymes may be used in novel industrial processes that are more - Economic, due to lower consumption of fossil fuel - Efficient, due to increased specific activity of cold-active enzymes - Hygieinic, because food spoilers do not grow at low temperatures Coldzymes’ enzymes are developed in accordance with the Convention on Biological Diversity. Coldzymes is a project under the multi-disciplinary and multi-national initiative Greenland Perspective that brings together researchers, civil society, industry and authorities to explore how Greenland’s human and natural resources can be used to develop new technologies, business opportunities and societal models.
