Ford Foundation
The Ford Foundation is an independent non-profit private foundation based in New York, established in 1936 by Edsel Ford. It aims to promote social change worldwide by collaborating with visionary leaders and organizations to reform social structures and institutions, ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to realize their full potential and participate in decisions that impact their lives. The foundation focuses on eight key issues: human rights, democratic governance, educational opportunity, economic fairness, metropolitan opportunity, sustainable development, freedom of expression, and gender, sexuality, and reproductive justice. Governance is provided by a fifteen-member board of trustees that oversees grantmaking policies, geographic focus, and management standards.

The University of Vermont (UVM) is a public research university located in Burlington, Vermont, established in 1791. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States and the fifth college founded in New England.
