Kinrot Ventures

Acquisition in 2012
A rainbow is caused by the refraction and reflection of rays from the sun on water droplets. Although a natural phenomenon, the rainbow is often correlated with the human spiritual aspirations of enlightenment and rejuvenation. Each of the colors visible in the spectrum is attributed core spiritual ambitions and as a group they symbolize a celebration of diversity itself. Kinrot has adopted these positive aspirations in its approach to partnering with budding entrepreneurs by seeking out the unique attributes of not only the technologies but the entrepreneurs themselves and leveraging these to transform their vision into a rainbow of water technologies. Kinrot’s inclusive approach inspires optimism, welcomes diversity and invites anyone with vision and promising ideas to contribute to the growing international spectrum of water technologies. Kinrot Ventures was founded in 1993 as part of the Israeli Incubator Program and in 2006 was privatized by the Canadian Stern Group in cooperation with the Israeli Chief Scientist. In the beginning of 2010, AquAgro Fund LP has acquired Kinrot Ventures from Canada's Stern Partners Inc. After almost three years under the management of AquAgro Fund, in the end of 2012 Kinrot Venture was acquired by Hutchison Water, a unit of Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. Today, Kinrot is the leading seed investor in water and clean-tech related technologies worldwide.
