La Mancha Resource Capital LLP (“La Mancha”) advises on strategic investments made by La Mancha Fund SCSp (“the Fund”). The Fund is a deep value, open ended alternative investment fund, with a long-only investment strategy dedicated to gold and battery metals mining. La Mancha’s mandate is to support mining companies to sustain organic growth, and realise expansion plans, by providing long-term capital, as well as board level experience and expertise. The Fund was created in July 2021, when the founding investor, the Sawiris family, transferred all its mining assets (accumulated since 2012) into a fund structure. At the same time, the Fund welcomed a strategic partner to invest alongside the Sawiris family – link to press release . La Mancha’s team members have a strong and proven track record in the sector since 2012, having played a leading role in the transformation of junior mining companies into well diversified, multi-billion-dollar market cap, region- and sector-significant actors. At year end 2021, the Fund had in excess of US$1.3 billion invested in mining assets and is assessing a number of new opportunities to diversify and broaden its portfolio. The Fund is open to new capital from qualified investors to invest alongside its existing shareholders.
