Michigan Rise

Michigan Rise is a venture capital firm established in 2020 and based in East Lansing, Michigan. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Michigan State University Research Foundation, it focuses on investing in technology startups within the state. The firm prioritizes sectors such as advanced automotive and mobility, advanced manufacturing and materials, agricultural processing technology, alternative energy, homeland security and defense technology, information technology, life sciences, therapeutics, and medical devices. Michigan Rise aims to support the commercialization of innovative technologies by providing capital, coaching, and assistance with grant funding to Michigan entrepreneurs and startups, thereby contributing to the region's economic development.
