Acting on the one-for-one model, made famous by TOMS, Josh and friends donated 50 beanies to Detroit Christian Services homelessness outreach center in February of 2013. Upon partnering with PB&J Outreach in March of 2013, the York team quickly learned that there was not as great of a need for beanies for the homeless as there was for socks, toilet paper, gloves, and underwear. The team quickly switched the giving model to include these items as donations, instead of just beanies. Currently, York Project makes a Donation Kit to donate for each product sold.
