Ropart Asset Management Funds is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in seed/startup, early and mid-venture, leveraged buyouts, secondary direct investments, emerging growth stages, mezzanine lending, growth capital and late stage investments, recapitalization, industry consolidation and bridge financing of small to midsize companies. The firm seeks to invest in middle market and mature companies. It also makes opportunistic investments in distressed or special situations like secondary market purchases of private equity fund LP interests. The firm seeks to invest in media and technology. The firm invests in multiple sectors including business services, direct marketing, software and technology, consumer products, value-added distribution, hobbies and crafts, infrastructure and logistics, industrial services, human capital, healthcare services, financial services, and franchisors. In platform/control investments, it invests in companies with sales between $10 million and $150 million and EBITDA between $3 million and $15 million. The firm seeks controlling equity position (51% or more) either alone or with partners. In mezzanine lending, it invests through a blend of cash, PIK, and warrants income streams. The firm seeks a term of five years or less. In growth capital investments, it invests in companies if it gets at least one seat on the board of directors and prefers to invest with a minimum of one other value added co-investor. It seeks to invest between $3 million and $15 million of equity in deals with transaction value ranging between $10 million and $100 million, but participates in deals requiring as much as $35 million in equity with values up to $200 million. The firm prefers a board seat in its portfolio companies. It prefers to be a lead investor or participates with one or more value-added investors. Ropart Asset Management Funds was founded in 2001 and is based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
