The James Irvine Foundation

The James Irvine Foundation is an independent non-profit private foundation based in San Francisco, California, established in 1937. The foundation is dedicated to expanding opportunities for Californians through its grantmaking, having allocated over $1.5 billion to more than 3,600 nonprofit organizations across the state. Its initiatives are organized into three primary program areas: Youth, Arts, and California Democracy.
