XesGalicia, SGEIC, S.A., formerly known as XesGalicia, S.G.E.C.R., S.A. is a private equity and venture capital arm of Instituto Gallego de Promoción Económica, S.A. specializing in seed/start-up, early venture, emerging growth, buyouts, and growth capital investments. The firm does not invest in finance sector companies and companies quoted in the first markets of stock exchanges. It also provides ordinary and mezzanine loans to its portfolio companies. The firm’s investment may not exceed 15 percent of the total assets of the fund and investment in companies belonging to the same group may not exceed 35 percent of the assets of the fund. It seeks to take a minority stake up to 45 percent of the total equity of that company. The firm seeks to invest in companies not quoted in the first markets of stock exchanges.
