Beepl was founded in April 2011 as an online platform that allowed users to seek answers and opinions from subject specialists and enthusiasts on a variety of topics. The platform aimed to connect users with knowledgeable individuals within their social networks, facilitating informed discussions. After a private alpha phase, Beepl launched publicly on January 16, 2012, garnering significant media attention. The company raised a seed funding round led by a Prague-based venture capital firm targeting early-stage technology companies in Central and Eastern Europe. In November 2012, Beepl was acquired by Brand Embassy, after which the consumer-facing Q&A site was taken offline.
