Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. is a prominent provider of non-hazardous solid waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services, operating primarily in the Southeastern, Midwestern, and Eastern United States, as well as in the Bahamas. The company caters to approximately 2.7 million residential customers, 200,000 commercial and industrial clients, and 800 municipalities. Its operations include curbside collection of residential waste, offering waste containers and compactors for commercial and industrial use, and providing roll-off containers for construction and demolition sites. Advanced Disposal also manages landfill disposal services and operates recycling facilities that process various materials, including cardboard and glass. As of late 2019, the company managed 95 collection operations, 73 transfer stations, 41 active landfills, and 3 recycling facilities across 16 states. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Ponte Vedra, Florida, Advanced Disposal was previously known as ADS Waste Holdings, Inc. and became a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc. in 2020.
