The origin of today's DencoHappel goes back to 1909, when the German air filter construction company with limited liability (DELBAG) was founded in Breslau. On the other hand, Otto Happel founded the "Gesellschaft für Entstaubungs-Anlagen GmbH" (GEA) in Bochum in 1920, and in Great Britain, DENCO was founded in 1944, which was taken over by GEA in 2006.
