Gener8 Maritime is a New York City-based provider of international seaborne crude oil transportation services. The company emerged from a merger between General Maritime Corporation and Navig8 Crude Tankers, gaining a substantial fleet comprising 46 tankers, including 21 new buildings. Its current fleet includes seven very large crude carriers (VLCCs), 11 Suezmax vessels, four Aframax vessels, two Panamax vessels, and one Handymax product carrier. With a combined carrying capacity of approximately 7.2 million deadweight tons (DWT), Gener8 Maritime is positioned as one of the largest owners of VLCC and Suezmax vessels globally. The company is set to enhance its fleet capacity to approximately 10.8 million DWT with the delivery of new vessels featuring advanced fuel-saving technology, expected to establish it among the top five non-state-owned VLCC fleets worldwide. Gener8 Maritime also benefits from a strategic commercial management relationship with the Navig8 Group, enhancing its operational capabilities in the competitive oil transportation sector.
