Fimalac, a holding company set up and led by Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, currently operates in five business areas: FITCH GROUP, which is 20 % owned by Fimalac, S.A. and 80 % by Hearst Corporation, is a major financial services player, in particular, with a strong presence in the ratings market (Fitch Ratings). Through Fimalac Développement, Fimalac holds interests in leisure activities and luxury hotels, with a 40% interest in GROUPE LUCIEN BARRIÈRE, a leading casino operator in France and Switzerland, as well as a major player in luxury hotels, and a 10% stake in Société Fermière du Casino Municipal de Cannes. Fimalac has developed a new Digital division since July 2013, especially from WEBEDIA. Fimalac aims at becoming a major player on its specialized thematics on the net. Fimalac is also active in the Entertainment sector. It ranks among the French leaders in the live entertainment production. Besides, through its subsidiary VEGA, Fimalac operates in the venue management business with around 30 venues (including Zenith and multi-purpose facilities) and sport centers. Fimalac is present in the real estate sector, mainly through NORTH COLONNADE Ltd, owner of an office building in the prestigious Canary Wharf district of London.
