Viaro Energy was established by its CEO Francesco Mazzagatti and several other executives, with over 20 years of collective experience in the energy sector. Viaro Energy is the result of Francesco Mazzagatti’s decision to focus his company’s operations on the upstream energy sector in the North Sea. Viaro Energy operates through its main subsidiary, RockRose Energy, and has assets in the UK and the Netherlands. The company has since acquired the entire share capital of the Hague and London Oil BV and SSE E&P UK Limited, respectively, thereby ensuring a majority gas-weighted production base, with higher production strength and lower environmental impact. Most recently, it has acquired Spark Exploration UK in 2023, which has assets West of Shetlands, including the Tuck gas prospect. Viaro Energy remains focused on strategic long-term investments in the North Sea, through a combination of diversification, acquisitions, and organic growth.
