National Surgical Healthcare is owning, operating, and partnering with physicians in the short-stay surgical hospital and ambulatory surgery center industry. Founded in 1998 by current members of its leadership team, NSH has grown to a portfolio of 20 surgical facilities across 12 states. In early 2011, Irving Place Capital ("IPC"), a private equity firm based in New York City with over $4 billion of assets under management, acquired NSH. The affiliation with IPC strengthened NSH's ability to continue its growth strategy, which includes forming new partnerships with physician-owned specialty hospitals and surgical centers as well as supporting growth opportunities within its existing facilities. NSH has a successful track record in partnering with facilities that have developed a strong market presence and are led by high-quality surgeons.

Symbion Holdings

Symbion owns and operates a national network of short stay surgical facilities. Symbion owned and operated 50 surgical facilities in 24 states. Their surgical facilities, which include ASCs and surgical hospitals, primarily provide non-emergency surgical procedures across many specialties, including, among others, cardiology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and pain management. Symbion’s surgical hospitals also provide acute care services such as diagnostic imaging, laboratory, obstetrics, oncology, pharmacy, physical therapy and wound care.

NovaMed Surgery Center of Madison is designed, equipped, and staffed exclusively for outpatient surgery. It is a joint venture between Surgery Partners, and a number of local physicians. NovaMed Surgery Center of Madison meets and exceeds the highest standards required by the state of Wisconsin. As compared to a hospital, NovaMed Surgery Center of Madison provides greater conveniences in a more relaxed atmosphere.
