Medicine Bow Wind

The Medicine Bow wind farm is located in Carbon County, Wyoming, approximately 90 minutes outside of Cheyenne. The project is sited on high plains with mixed land use, mainly grazing and ranching activities. Installed on the site are two Vestas V42 and seven Vestas V47 turbines. The wind farm is the first with Vestas turbines to undergo 60Hz Turbine Overhaul in North America. The machines will be converted from their current RCC configurations and upgraded to 710kW DFIG machines.
